The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) has developed an e-learning course, providing foundational knowledge on space sustainability and the Guidelines for the Long-term Sustainability of Outer Space Activities (LTS Guidelines). The course is free and open to anyone who wishes to know more about the long-term sustainability of outer space activities.
The interactive training encompasses 26 short lessons, offering insights into the critical role of space activities, the expanding space sector and challenges faced. It explores the preamble and 21 LTS Guidelines and directs learners to reputable sources for further study.
The course is presently available in English, French and Spanish, with translations into additional languages underway.
